Our testing focus is on the manufacture of innovative, high quality LAN test and Real World Certification equipment for installers of twisted pair cable and IP devices (cable, VoIP phones, IP cameras). We are known for our creative approach to testing.... breaking the mold to provide our customers with tools that do more and cost less. Although we are best known as the maker of the low cost Real World Certifier (tests the speed parameters of a cable plus stores 250 test reports), we have brought similar creativity to the Power Panel (for VoIP and IP camera installers), the ProTone Wire Locator with its illuminated tip the TVR entry level LAN tester and the Camera Wizard CCTV tester with Vpp display. RECENT MILESTONES

In March of 2010, Byte Brothers started shipping the new CCTV Camera Wizard. This powerful tester aids the CCTV camera installer by displaying both B&W and color pictures as well as displaying the Vpp of the signal on the same screen. The Camera Wizard's full feature set includes PTZ control, color bar generation and keyboard/joy stick decoding.

In April of 2009, Byte Brothers started shipping the new top-end of the Power Panel family... the Power Panel Tone Star. All of the features of the inline Power Panel coupled with a full featured, ultrabright LED lighted, filtered tone probe.

In March of 2009, Byte Brothers announced a new line of 4 notebook security locks. With "prison" nicknames such as "The Rock" and "Supermax", these locks are an affordable and effective way to cut into you local thieves' income.

In September of 2008, Byte Brothers started shipping the ProTone Wire Locator. Every person working with building wiring needs a wire locator and the ProTone is the perfect choice with its loud, filtered tone, ultrabright LED illuminated tip and low cost.

In November of 2007, Byte Brothers started shipping the first model Power Panel CAT5/6 DVM product family. The Power Panel displays the presence of phones, network devices and power (PoE). It's perfect for VoIP phone and IP camera installers or anybody who needs to be aware of what is on a cable before they plug in.

In February of 2005, Byte Brothers started shipping the TVR10/100/1000 LAN Tester. The TVR10/100/1000 is a major upgrade to the existing TVR10/100. The new tester is compatible with all Gigabit devices plus displays full and half duplex at all speeds.

In February of 2004, Byte Brothers started shipping the Real World Certifier. This breakthrough tester performs sophisticated speed tests on LAN cables and devices... opening a world of testing possibilities that, prior to the Real World Certifier, was restricted to only large companies with large test equipment budgets. Plus, the Real World Certifier can store up to 250 tests results for later printing by Microsoft's Excel.

In March of 2002, Byte Brothers acquired the Qualtec Security Systems company from Curtis Computer Products, a division of the Esselte Corporation. Merging these two stellar companies provides Byte Brothers/Qualtec customers an unprecedented variety of security offerings… including the ability to fabricate customized security kits in small quantities.
